What is the difference between powder coating and spray paint?

First

Process

Powder coating: Apply primer three times and finish paint four times on the base material, each time the paint is applied, it is sent to a dust-free constant temperature baking room for baking. 

Spray paint: Sand the wool on the substrate, then spray paint on it, and let it dry naturally.


Second

Paint film: Method: Touch the four corners of the painted door panel with your hands to see if it is smooth.

Powder coat : smooth edges and corners, same color. It proves that the paint film is uniform and the color is full. 

Spray paint : the edges and corners are rough, and the color is lighter than the door panel. It proves that the paint film is uneven and the color is not full.


Third

Texture. Method: Check the light to see if there is orange peel on the surface of the painted door panel. Powder coating: The surface of the door panel is smooth, without lines and orange peel. 

Spray paint: The surface of the door panel has lines, is not smooth, and has orange peel phenomenon.


Fourth, 

Surface. Method: Touch the surface of the painted door panel with your hands to see if there are dust particles and air bubbles. 

Powder coating : The surface of the door panel is flat and smooth. 

Spray paint: There are particles on the surface of the door panel, which is not smooth and feels strange to the touch.


Fifth,

Wear-resistant. Method:  Hit with a hard object. 

Powder coating: no abnormalities, no damage to the paint film. 

Spray paint: There are cracks, severe paint film peeling off, white peel off.
